Sylvania LU250 250W Lumalux HPS lamp. This is one of two 250W HPS lamps that were in the junk pile at school today! Both lamps are Sylvania LU250 and are dated September 1996. I assumed they would be cycling and thus would make rather nice display lamps. Turns out both lamps ran perfectly for 10 minutes. I did see a few HPS lamps cycling in a quite long period, every 30 minutes or more. These seem to be rare though, once they start cycling they usually go out within two minutes. I' will have to run the lamps for a longer time to see if they really cycle or not. If they still work, it's gonna be two more lamps in my collection! Keywords: American_Streetlights
