Outdated 350VA 200W uninterruptible power supply.

I also found this thing at the recycle centre. I came back from there expecting a dead battery or something else faulty in this device, but nope! It's a perfectly working unit! It features 4 surge and power outage-protected outlets, and 4 surge-protected outlets.
The primary application for a UPS is usually computers. It allows you to save whatever you need to keep and safely shut down the computer. Keep in mind a UPS can't draw hundreds of watts for hours! My model can draw 200W during barely a minute! That's probably why it got thrown away, since computers rarely draw less than 200W today (except laptops probably).
However these outdated UPS supplies are still perfectly suitable for other electronic, lower power equipment! Say you have a small 13W TV and a PS3, well if you have a power outage, the UPS will do its job and keep power to the TV and console while you save your game and turn everything off!
So I'll keep that UPS for such cases, it may make things MUCH easier if I lose power, say in a bad snowstorm, to keep track of the storm in a 13" TV!

Anyway, nice thing, where is the battery? And how would it power a game system? O.o
