Cooper NVN's on MTO Highway
These new NVN's were installed recently after some construction thats gone on this stretch of the Q.E.W in Toronto. Temporary AE 125's have been in use here for a few years as well. Few truss lights remain in this zone along with some old Model 25's on the truss arms. Hopefully the remaining truss arms and remaining HPS cobra's are spared

I see MTO switched back to using tapered elliptical arms. I was hoping that when they started using truss arms again a few years ago we'd see more MTO lighting with them.

Plus they're using the extra long arm of my preference. I cannot recall MTO using it permanently before. Also interesting seeing NVN's, they used the newer streamlined archeon LED on highway 401 west of Mavis Rd.

Yeah I still take cobra's over highmasts but I don't think they would use highmasts on this little stretch because of all the houses nearby, as well as becoming an eye sore. It would have been great to see new truss arms being used again

Yeah. I think cobras or these was a better fit for the QEW through Mississauga. Would have been interesting to see a pole with a double 10ft MTO truss arm though. I don't think they ever had a setup like that.

Im not a huge fan of those small masts. I think its also a good change from time to time as well. There is some work going on around the Burlington skyway on the Toronto Bound side. Several truss lights have come down. Wondering if somethings going to happen to that stretch of Truss lights.

Yeah the small masts are rather unique looking so it was cool to have one install of them in Ontario.

Hmm interesting. I wonder if they have finally gotten around to installing LEDs on both directions. I think the last time I went by it still had HPS on one direction.

So far nothing yet with the other side. I figure if they dont rip out all of the old equipment, then a good area of the truss lights around the burlington skyway will be fitted with Autobahns
