Driven at 150W, it should last years even lit 24/7! The dirt gives an old look to the lamp! Cool

1/2 of supply voltage yield only a bit more then 1/4 of power and here the voltage is a bit below 1/2, so i guess it is driven at ~75W.

There's a 230v carbon filament lamp made by Shelby still operating after around 108 years of 24/7 operation. I've seen it in person, it's located at the fire station in Livermore, CA.

The Shelby lamp was really designed for 230V? I thought it was originally made as 120V, but has a manufacturing defect, so run way much cooler then designed (so consequently last so long)...
