The Igniter Wiring
|
For the igniter, the blue wire must be moved to the empty spade for 90W operation (it's wired for 70W in the pic since I'm using a 70W lamp in it which appears about the color and brightness it should, though i can't test the lamp on a proper ballast to see for sure) that blue wire goes to the lamp.

Pretty cool find!
So what I'm thinking is that the 90W setting is supposed to save energy but provide about the same amount of light as a 100W powered lamp. and the 70W setting would use 70W but it would be brighter than a 70W HPS lamp because the 100W lamps gets more LPW. thus greater efficiency. I don't know. I hope it uses normal 100W lamps though since they're still availabe on a massive scale.
I guess even if 100w lamps don't work on it, at least it's good that 70w lamps will since they are one of the most common low watt HPS used.
