G.E. Energy Smart Soft White, Bright From The Start CFL's
I saw these new lamps and finally decided to buy a pack of them. I guess they are CFL bulbs with a halogen capsule In the center. Because CFL's sometimes take a while to reach full brightness, G.E. put a halogen capsule in them since halogens are instantly at full brightness. I haven't tried them yet but i think the capsule turns off when the CFL reaches full brightness.

Yep! It takes about 45 seconds to turn off that halogen capsule ,I bought. Pack of these and both lamps have a slightly different timing, meaning it's a thermal switch , I compared this to a regular one without the halogen capsule and it was dim! It took 2-3 mins to get to the same. Brightness
