Here is the 100 amp fuse box in my grandmothers basement, this is going to be upgraded to breakers within a week. You can see the panel is over full as other things added to the house later - the AC, dishwasher and electric water heater all have their own small disconnects. What is interesting is the house has always had an electric water heater but it use to be what is called a "flat rate" water heater.
