yep. Most of the 1940s intersections are being pulled and scrapped as signals aren't warranted anymore and they're beyond repair

My buddy Joe saved what he could. Several signals in his collection and the entire back yard fence from the other picture are Detroit-area lights. The rest of the signals must be returned to the city where they will be shredded.

It's amazing this was left up! This seems horribly unsafe and just an accident waiting to happen! (The dark signal over an intersection and the fact it is hanging by a rusty chain!)
