Old 1x F40T12 Preheat Fixture #1
I got some old 1-lamp preheat F40T12 striplights free last fall...2 like the one in this image and 2 of another style (image to be posted later).

The things were covered in years worth of dust/dirt (yuck) they went straight to the backyard for cleaning.

I then took them apart to check out the 'guts'...the ballast looks like something out of the dark ages. LOL (also has the old cloth-type wire.) Ballast on this one is mounted on the channel cover.

Other than a couple bad starters all worked fine (I used a crappy 30w F32T8 as the 'test victim' LOL)

Nice find, the address is the same as the later Universal ballasts, could this company be a predecessor to Universal?

Easier to read than those tiny wiring diagrams!
