StreetLight #379
Nice to see the HPS cobraheads are still around this mountain town
Never a fan of sloppy wiring like that though.

Its a AEL 325. The ballast door version. And the 325 doesn't use the bail latch like GE does. The M400A uses a bail latch.

Thanks lightingfan8902 .. info has been updated .. I wasn't quite sure what it was, though it looked similar to some of the mentioned GE's

The GE ones are thicker than the AELs.

I never cared for the AE Powerpad lights because of the gap between the doors. You can see daylight right through the gap! The GE Powr/Doors have overlapping doors so the gap is minimal.

@Mike,
I never paid attention to that before. Thanks for pointing that out. Doesn't necessarily make me like them any less though. I've just always preferred single door cobraheads.

I love the M-250A and the M-150 (original M-250A2) but other than that I too prefer single door lights. From an installer's perspective, the ballast-on-door lights make the job a lot easier though. Not even from a maintenance perspective, but the fact that over half the weight is on the door, which is off when the fixture is being installed on the arm. Makes a huge difference when you get to the medium size 250 and 400W cobraheads.
