Sylvania Daylight Plus 100w halogen
I've always preferred clear to coated lamps of any type, particularly if the inside craftmanship is good. This one is OK; it is a single-ended, 120v tungsten-halogen capsule with a heavy (quite heavy) glass outer bulb. I'll guess the bulb temperature that it may have some infrared reflecting properties, but they are pretty minimal; the newer lamps have reduced wattages.

Sylvania Daylight Plus halogen lamps, are double envelope halogen lamps that have an neodymium outer glass, that causes the light color to be more whiter, at the expense of CRI (~65%), light output and luminous efficiency (less then 10 lm/w), because the spectra of such lamp isn't continuous but an absorption spectrum (It have a huge black dip from the orange to the green wavelengths).

I have incandescent lamps in my collection, but I'm not collecting much of anything anymore. This lamp went to my mom's house because she couldn't see well at the kitchen sink with the 23w CFL that was there before.

*Update - it died February 2013, rather uneventfully - broken filament and a small black spot on the inner bulb where the filament touched after it broke.
