Restore find - real inside frost bulbs!
Here are some Philips and Homeclub bulbs. The Philips 75w and 100w bulbs were made in Canada, they are from '92. The Homeclub bulbs were made by Philips in the USA at an old Westy plant, made in '89. The soft white bulb is a modern philips 75w from China which got included in the sleeve at the top.

Is it my imagination that more modern 100 Watts bulbs are getting dimmer? Confused

I can see both are 100 watts bulb with two different manufacture here. The older HomeCub bulb has more lumens than the newer Philip bulb Confused

Yeah, because the Homeclub has an unsupported vertical filament like in the old Westys, while the Canadian made Philips lamps have the Philips style horizontal filament, this design is less efficient in lamps 100w and higher.
