We have wallpack or ceiling pack style MV still on underpass (except for newer bridges or balitmore city that are HPS, but most of MV ones are kinda abandoned....I swear I saw some with BT lamps....there's some that still lights but verrrrrry dim!

We use HPS wallpacks for underpass lights but I once saw some abandoned ones that used powergrooves.

Nice lights, it seems underpass lights are some of the most neglected Mad

Ever thought the top half of these overpass lights look like they share the same parts as gumballs? I saw some with gumball or teardrop refractors. Overpass lights installed in California since the 80s use low bay HPS fixtures. In Florida they use similar mountings as California but the fixtures are different. Some are Holophane bucket lights, other look nearly globe shaped.

In NYC the underpass has a few setups, some are cuplights, but not often seen but I bet in the past had a lot! But now has a lot of holophane bucket fixtures and some are LPS fixtures (lamp are horizontal) and a few other varies of fixtures seen in NYC.

I saw some radial waves (missing lamp and painted over) in Washington DC on under a railroad overpass!

is the ballast in the Box the fixture is suspended from?

Yep remote ballasts.
