GE Evolve Scaleable LED street light in test phase

The city of Banning appears to be looking into a conversion from HPS to LED street lights, so they are testing a few makes scattered around the city. This is a set of 4 GE Evolve Scaleable LEDs at a signalized intersection near the downtown part of the city. I don't know the color temperature and the wattage of these lights but they replaced 250w HPS lights. I personally like the shape of the GE scaleable lights better than the Cree and Leotek eyesores (the latter even looks like a toylet) but i am against LEDs being pushed to be the sole light source. One other make the city is testing has been identified as LED Roadway, which is a Canadian model which some make they way into the USA as well.
