interesting that it has a 3x3 label the size of a NEMA tag but they put the full wattage and voltage and used the watts and volts letters too... and it's on sideways...

Looks like an older American Electric bracket fixture.

Yeah it sorta looks like a AEL or possible even a Powerlite bracket.

thanks! btw, imagine! this utility is ALL mercury with the exception of some LPS? every single cobrahead in the little town of anza on the main road is mercury vapor (see the old 25 on the other pic). rick sheild and i were surprised! Smile really for the most part its unusual for california. sure there are mercs and even incs in the los angeles and san francisco areas, but they co-exist with lots of HPS all around them.

Is this one have a photocell directly on the very top above the lamp? I see those in PEPCO areas, not too common but they look a lot like the AEL model...

yeah i think you can just barely see the pc on top of the head in this pic.
streetlight98   [Jun 09, 2013 at 12:44 AM]
i see the PC... the AEL 165 ballast in arm doesn't have the PC right on top though...

It looks the most like this Powerlite Private Eye fixture. There's also a older version with a more rounded arm.
streetlight98   [Jun 09, 2013 at 01:44 AM]
yeah that's what this looks like...

I wonder if AEL changed the location of the PC since they look identical except for the PC location.
