These bulbs are no more!
As I type this, the ban on 100w incandescent bulbs takes effect. Unreal! My mom very nicely bought me these in Florida as 100w bulbs have already been banned in CA for a year.

Nice that you got these! I hate why they are banning lamps, it infringes on our rights, and we CAN do something about it, it might just be expensive. xD

So I guess 100 watt Incandescent won't be being sold in stores anymore?

In Canada we'll have 100W incandescents for two more years! But I guess the remaining American and Mexican factories are all going to be closed.

What?! I thought the ban was delayed! Shocked Crying or Very sad
LilCinnamon   [Jan 01, 2012 at 04:29 PM]
Those factories also make other wattage incandescent lamps, so they won't close. Only the 100 watt incandescents are banned, not the lower wattages. But just wait and those will be too.

Cool that you got those, we still have two years til they're banned.
Silverliner14B   [Jan 01, 2012 at 07:48 PM]
No, the DOE only can't enforce the law until October due to lack of funds, the law is still there for January 1st1st and the major lampmakers are obliged to follow it.

I purchased some 100 watt incandescents from Busy Beaver since 100 watt bulbs will become harder to get because of this stupid ban.
joe_347V   [Jan 01, 2012 at 08:29 PM]
Bleh, at least you could probably still get them if you drive up to Canada.
Silverliner14B   [Jan 01, 2012 at 09:41 PM]
Canadians, you can send me some Very Happy

there will be around in texas since we have a law saying we can manufactor, but there no manufactoring plant here
so it look like we be importing them from mexico for texas sale only, and beside this is a dumb law as lamp ban
since texas power grid is isolated from the rest of the country. too many ranchers will be piss off this happen
cant keep pump house from freezing up, brooding chicks, my projector used the 100 watt bulb when i am building electronic related stuff.
and the uiltlty company would raise the rates to for using less to over come the less Kw used simple as that.
