I see a lot of Wide-Lite F-series floodlights in this condition (dim, green & dayburning). Shamefully, they are almost always eventually replaced and never relamped.

do you have to remove 14 screws to remove the glass?! no wonder they're ususally replaced. Shocked

The socket housing unscrews and drops out for relamping. The top also has a built in lamp support that's for both BT and ED shaped lamps.

Although I can imagine someone fuming over having to take off 14 screws to replace the lamp. Razz Laughing

yeah i was gonna say wow. Shocked are the 1000W ones the same or do they have top acess like the older ITT floods? yeah and even when they finally remove the screws and take off the lens they realize that there's not enough clearance to remove the lamp lol.

The same. If they are cold temp the 1000w HM is the same size as the 400w. cold temp is under 30 f this was good for me because I put my wide lite on when it is under 15 f Laughing
streetlight98   [Feb 01, 2014 at 01:55 PM]
ahh so the cold temperature ones you need to use cram lamps for 1000W? Does tha tmean the regular 1000W Widlites let you used full sized BT56 lamps in them?

The 1000w MH for under 30 f use a Reduced Envelope so the wide lite for the 400w is same size as the one that takes a 1000w bulb. The regular 1000w has a large Envelope.

Ahh I see. So you can run MV lamps in the regular ones. Very Happy

Went by this mall a few weeks ago, they have been replaced with MH floods. Looks like they were Hubbels
