I didn't realize they allowed these even for replacements. They're certainly nice though! Nice test box too. Love the terminals for quick connection. The LabVolt equipment in my college lab class had terminals like that.

Nice sign! I wouldn't think it's quite up to code cause it lacks the "Sortie". When I was up in Canada I noticed a few things... French and English signs, (which I noticed way back when, back when my family visited Manitoba for like 10 minutes) and that the signs inside the store say "washrooms" instead of "restrooms" Like they do down here.

And where did you get that test box? I mean that would be cool to have. Something like that

Yeah "restroom", "bathroom" and "washroom" don't make sense to me lol. "Toilet room" maybe lol. Because in a public bathroom, you don't bathe. You don't rest (though I suppose you could hide out and take a nap on the toilet at work lol). You can wash up but the primary function is to use the toilet/urinal. I suppose we're too proud to say "toilet room" lol.

What makes you think they were recently made? I would love to get one to put on my bedroom ceiling fan. Laughing

The EXIT SORTIE bilingual signs were quite rare, usually only government buildings and places like airports and train stations had them. Until 2014, the code allowed for unilingual exit signs so in Ontario the red EXIT was most common. The code did state that a minimum 6" letter height was required so these wouldn't have met code back then.

The newer signs are symbolic with a green running man instead of text, I first saw them in 2011 and I think by early 2015 they were required to be used in new installations and renovations.

Yeah, we call them washrooms here instead of restrooms. I'd always thought washrooms made more sense since you don't nap in them so I thought restroom sounded a bit odd lol. On most aircraft and on some trains, the washrooms are usually called the lavatory for some reason. I've seen "toilets" used before in some other countries though.

They had bar code stickers still on them and the letters looked like they printed on instead of painted so it looked like they were recently made.

As for the test box, I made it from a weatherproof double gang cast box, a deadfront GFCI and blank cover plate which I drilled holes for binding posts.
