It's those diffuserless wraps again!!
This time in a continuous row. i found out that the classrooms were lit by these too before the "upgrade" to T8 accordign to a janitor that's worked here at Western Hills since it opened in September 1970. It makes sense becuase thetroffers in the classrooms look newish and there are black soot marks that he pointed out to me along the grid ceilng in the classrooms. These would have looked much better than the troffers especially if these all had there diffusers, which not a single light in here does.... Most of the lamps have tube guards, which makes me think the removal of the diffusers was intentional.

Maybe someone broke the diffusers over the years, one the wrap lights in my old high school had a broken diffuser and they replaced it with a...TUBE GUARD! Rolling Eyes

We use tube guards in our workshop at school for obvious reasons, we are handling ladders, EMT tubes etc. and we could easily break a tube that way...

Funny how we don't use any tubeguards in my electrical class, lamps might have been broken once in one fixture as they are cool white instead of 3,500K

Also notice how the sockets are all out of place. Confused

These are all gone now, as the school has a building-wide LED retrofit. Even the Gymnasium 6X F32T8 highbays installed in 2011 were replaced. They were installed when I was in 7th grade, replacing the metal halide low bays.
