VERY COOL Ripley Sunswitch!
NOS from 1992. This one is an all-electronic silicon eye Ripley. Notice the label? Obviously they never followed these instructions! My guess is that this was one of Ripley's first silicon eye electronic PCs and this was a test sample. Note the huge round circuit board. I'm going to leave the label on. Definetly a cool PC! Ripley called it its "Knight Reliant Electronic Photocontrol"

Cool PC, I've got a similar test unit from 1998. Its orange and has a small 1/8 cadmium sulfide eye. Not sure what it was for but a neat piece.

Yeah after a couple decades of making mediocre photocells, Ripley had some neat experimental photocells in the 90s. They're now one of the best brands today (IMO anyways).
