NOT An Every-Day Sight Here:
A mercury vapor American Electric 13. This one's 100W MV. This probably preplaced a M-250R since there are other M-250R on tapered E arms behind this pic. I think this is 240V too since NGrid would use a 120V PC otherwise. This was relamped about a year ago after dayburning for who knows how long.

There was a Westinghouse OV-25 400 watt mercury vapor street light in Harmar, PA that was relamped in 2010. Two years, the light failed and it was replaced with a GE M-250R2 200 watt high pressure sodium street light. Sad

figures. btw many mercury lamps made today are junk. i see the same problem with abrupt failures after a few months to a few years of use.

Yeah NGrid uses GE lamps and Jace told me those are junk. The chinese sylvania lamps are great though!

Sylvania mercury lamps are also brighter than the GE ones.

UPDATE 2.0: This is an AEL Autobahn (40W) now.
