i like how that looks up there...besides that slightly yellowed lense its a nice setup.

Often around here those double guy upsweep arms...tend to look sorta messed up and VERY rusty and sometimes bent or the double guy are messed up......luckily my electric company uses alunimum truss arms that looks very nice!

But the one above looks pretty decent!

Yep BC Hydro has lots of these arched double guy arms in 8' and 15' lengths. Seen em on Street View.

Yep and a lot of tapered elliptical too. 8' & 16'

Truss arms and upsweeps....20 foot truss arm, 15 foot truss arm 10 foot truss arm 4 foot upsweeps and finally 30 inch upsweeps! Also along with some older truss arms 6 foot tapered elliptical with clamshells can be found!

We have some of these, all rusted and most with Powerlites Razz

Around here you'll find tapered eliptical (6 and 8ft), upsweep (6ft) underbraced upsweep (6 and 8ft), truss (8 and 10ft), cantilever (6ft), double guy wire on very old aluminum poles (8ft). Currently i only see 6ft upsweeps get installed. Maybe one or two 6' tapered e's out of a group 25 or so but i think they switched to just upsweep now.

Update: Even though this light fixture was working fine,it has been replaced with a AEL 115 FCO on a 8 ft tapered elliptical arm due to a power company pole and line upgrade in the area.

Wonderful, Rolling Eyes my utility does that with the lights on standalone poles, but they transfer the light if it's on a utility pole. They don't check the lamp and PC when transferring so they sometimes transfer over dayburning or burnt out fixtures.
