Yup LOL. Tubes were lit when it happened.

Colin: In the 80s CGE sold a similar ballast with a 36 months warranty intended for replacement purposes (with the model no. 17A240EW). Standard ballasts were intended for OEM, thus couldn't be resold.

That's one good thing to do with those nasty ALTO lamps, Break off the ends and drain the phosphors. I love doing that to dead Incandescents. Smile

I like that shot of the ALTO mess made by my cat a while ago. Don't worry CGE fans, the ballast was fine after that accident. ^_^
