General Electric FC8T9/WW
This is my 2nd 22W /WW circline! I got the first one is a flea market, and this one came from the recycle centre. For some reason I found it sitting among CFLs when I went to dispose of some burnt out CFL tubes.

It is even older, '81! Still works like a charm and has a rather pinkish, yet pleasant warm light.

This was the exact type of lamp that was in my G.E. Circlite 60 that I purchased in the spring of 1983. In fact, it almost looks as though that is where this lamp came from (noticing the yellowing pattern on the plastic "endcap").

What is also interesting to note is that the G.E. Circlite was an early CFL that used a magnetic ballast with internal glow-bottle starter. Despite the fact that the circline lamp is labelled with "RAPID START", the fixture/lampholder assembly was, in fact, preheat.

Cathodes in rapid start lamps are still suitable for use in preheater, fortunately LOL.

Okay, why were there two versions of the GE CircLites if they both used 22w lamps? I have several of the "CircLite 75" ones...with cool white lamps.
