This is my NEMA fixture from Jace with one of the mounting arms I salvaged from scrapped satellite dishes. When set to the furthest point, the tube is perfectly levelled if the mounting plate is screwed on a vertical surface! Plus it really looks like a miniature tapered elliptical arm!
The mounting plate is a little large, but at least it's sturdy! And the whole arm still looks better than those sold in hardware stores anyway LOL.
It used to be mounted on a wall, with it's own circuit and all. But I am possibly going to move in a close future, and my parents are about to sell the house. So I had to take it down, but it'll be back up when I have my own place!
Well first off we sell the house because my parents are divorcing (well not in legal terms but they'll live separately, long story...). Second reason, I want to have a house with a large large yard so I can have my workshop and all the stuff I want, fixtures, electric appliances, cars xD
When i get my own house I'd like to find one with a big basement and like you said, a big yard (preferably backyard for privacy) so i'll have room for my lights and whatever else I may have. By the looks of it, once i get my own house I'll be able to aquire a LOT of fluorescent fixtures (i could have some of them now if I had the room) so I'll want a big basement to hang them all, even if only some are operational.
