Lightech 5W PL-S ballast tray
I got this a while ago on eBay for a few bucks (15 at the most). Even if I don't have the recessed fixture this tray goes in, I wanted a ballast to test 5W PL-S lamps.

The ballast inside is from Advance.

Cool, I wonder if you can use it to retrofit a exit sign too.

I suppose it's possible...but with only one lamp I think it would look weird...
Looks like this could be installed on a wall too...I'd use it 24/7 as a nightlight...

I've seen one PL exit sign retrofits but they have the lamp diagonally...............

That makes more sense, however I still think it would look odd IMO...

Personally I prefer the type with a F6T5 down the centre...........................................
