A 1993 GE M-250R2 spotted!!!!! See the difference for the first one from the next one? The one on the front is from 1993.....you can see it has a different design door.....it has a bigger flat area and the small angle of the door design is a bit farther back from the refactor than the most common typical GE M-250R2 design. It was only made in 1993! I remember when those got installed, and 1993 sounds about right, the building in the background, I remember was being built. It opened up in 1991! That building has/had F40T12 and some rapid start circlines in the bathrooms. Keywords: American_Streetlights

I spotted one too, in my basement! Minus it's ballast though, I do plan on restoring it eventually.

These are everywhere in RI. Not many in my area, but in FCO land (formally Blackstone Valley Electric) there are atleast 100 of these.

There's a few M-250R2s in my area but I'm not sure what version they are, they were installed in the mid-late 90s though.

These specific models are around my area but you have to look for them. They are mostly in national grid or NU territory's.

@ streetlights98....can you take some pics of those 1993 version GE M-250R2s? There are not too many of those.....it's like a limited version of GE M-250R2

Those are really not common..because it was only made for a year the ones in 1993

sure. When i can find the time I'll grab my bike and camera. You know how my pics come out though. I'll try my best. i always thought the flatbottom m-250r2 looked like a M-250A2 from a distance. BTW, you can call me Mike or Michael jace. Wink

We have a few 1993 FCO M-250 R2's in Denver, I know of one on Hampton Avenue (Wait it probably is Jefferson Avenue where the light is located) and it's 250 watt HPS. Looks way different than the other ones. I pass it like all the time. I maybe should get a pic of it.

I also posted some pics of them in my gallery. There are tons of the 1993 lights here, but i photographed the ones on different arms.
