General Electric M-400 Split Door.
Yup a split door, no vent holes, has a clip to hold the door in. These are common in Aurora and some are missing their Terminal doors.

Funny thing is this is in a RESIDENTIAL area. This is right in front of people's houses. I wonder what they think of the bright streetlight in front of their yard when they sleep. Wooow.

1984-very early 1985. Deep refractor is the giveaway. Now, as to 250 watt HPS being used in residential areas, the rule of thumb has generally been 250 watt HPS replaces 400 watt MV.

I've seen 400 watt mercury vapor streetlights replaced with 200 watt high pressure sodium streetlights too.

Here 400w is replaced with 400 watts. They do that becuase of billing purposes.
