Westinghouse F15T8/D from the early 50s, a beauty!
That is most likely my last summer's biggest find, an early 50s Westinghouse F15T8/D NOS with (what remains of) its sleeve. Its light is identical to my '45 GE F20T12/Ds, blue-white with a very faint touch of purple. Unique light, just pretty when lit!

These argon T8 fluorescent lamps also producted in europe in the past in 15W and 30W and discontinued with the invention of the more efficient krypton T8 fluorescent. But is saw from pictures on this gallery that in the US they are still popular and still in production with their various ballasts.
