LOL yeah this place is lit like a cave. Seems typical of 70s buildings though. My middle school was poorly lit too. This place originally had mostly incandescent lighting inside so it must've been very expensive to operate. Once the energy crisis hit (only a few years after the building opened) they installed fluorescent lighting in a lot of the building but most of the hallways remained incandescent according to one of my professors. Then in 2013 they upgraded all the lighting to T8s. The bathroom vanity lights are original and use 3ft bulbs! They've been converted to T8 though.
The light poles in the student parking lot along the big field used to have Canadian cobraheads on them too! Made by Powerlite (got bought out by Sylvania and sold to AEL). They were called the R47.
