Sloppy Philips
Well i am not sure about in the US but here in the UK Philips make the best standard fluorescents (Modern) But it seems even Philips are becoming poor! I have never seen a cap this bent before! Dispite this this lamp works fine and it was actually the electronic ballast that had died. I had to convert it to switch start (preheat)

Ah that is pretty bad...I have an F15T8 "industrial " branded lamp with a cap about that bent and a sylvania F32T8 with pins misalignment, they both work fine otherwise

Ugh, I see this on T5's all the time...

I had a batch of Sylvania F34T12 lamps at work arrive that way. They wouldn't make contact in the spring-loaded contacts of our turret industrials.

I have a modern Sylvania F40T12 that has unaligned endcap pins. When one end is installed correctly, the pins on the other end aren't perfectly locked in the socket, though the lamp stays in place and does make contact with the socket so I won't complain.
