I wonder why GE stopped using external slipfitter bolts. it's a lot easier to install lights with the external bolts.

It really doesn't matter. The standard four bolt slipfitter makes it far easier to level the light. This particular version, as well as the current M400, have two bolt internal slipfitters and levelling steps.

I mean, it's easier to install my M400 on the braket then it is for my westie lights and those are half the size and weight.
