Started the project 4/2/11. pulling out equipment and disconnecting everything. The entire bottom half of the cabinet will be upgraded, and the shelves will be raised.
I guess upgrading the traffic controller takes planning. Same with doing a clean install of operating system and application software, it takes time and planning. That is what I do at work, you just can't just throw things in and expect it make to work. It is not like the old days of simple installation and make it work as soon as you are done.
Yes it does. I need to see the best ways to run wire to keep it neat. And I'll have to mount the new wiring panels. Building a cabinet is like building a computer. Gotta get all the components for it and make sure everything works. Also need some traffic engineering knowledge to know the differences between TS2 and TS1 and what facilities work with what controller. Its fun really.
