Uplight using GE 7w LED lamp
I replaced a 20w halogen MR16 spot with this unit and the light output, colour temperature and beam spread are almost identical! I am very pleased. I found the lamp in a clearance rack at Wal-Mart for 50% off since they are now selling Feit LED lamps. Jace posted a photo of the lamp in its package and taken apart so I didn't duplicate that here.

Yes sir! I also got a 4 watt version just 2 days ago, and I tell ya, the 4 watt version has a 60 hz frequency...even my frequency meter INSISTS that my 4 watt GE LED is a magnetic ballasted Laughing the 7 watt of course is electronic!

And Alain, you are VERY welcome that the fact I made your life easier not needing to have you open it Wink

And yes GE has made the best close match of the "incandescent" subistute in LED so far....I was told by some other members about other brands as "too dim" or "too pinkish" and so on.....while GE seems to be great! Even after I opened mine, and always have it on often...it is in fact still doing well! Even the package says "If it does not last 5 years, mail it to return for an exchange!"

This lamp lasted 5 years and then started randomly getting very dim (all 3 LEDs) and eventually staying that way. Couldn't get it apart so I'm not sure what the failure mode was. Replaced with an MR-16 spot running a Utilitech 12V LED.
