Cool looking! What brand ballast and starter does it have? The ballasts may have date code marking on em....

Wow cool! I'd be interested to see what the ballasts look like.

Ballasts are the standard small 'choke' type, brand is Universal (they look pretty modern to me LOL)
There's 2 different starters Radionic and Hemco (Hemco one looks older). If y'all want i can take a pic of the inside too.

That'd be great!

Looks sorta like the one's in my great-aunt's basement. I think it looks like this. It's been over a year since i've last been to her house...

Mike, are those preheat or rapid start?
Looks like my 4' Sears shoplight...

Definetly preheat, though I can't remember for the life of me what the fixtures really looked like. I do remember seeing a small stash of blackender F20T12 lamps in unmarked white sleeves. I pulled one lamp out halfway and there was no etch (at least on that end; i don't think i checked the other end lol). But they're not going anywhere so whenever i make it back to me great-aunts (she actually lives close by in Smithfield but my parents are allergic to cats and she has one, so we see her at family functions). When i do make it back there she has a CRAPLOAD of lighting stuff that she said she'll let me have including lamps and fixtures. The fixtures will probably have to wait though. IMO, I'd rather have it doing service at a stationary family members house (one that has no plans of moving and is close enough to get to in the event something does happen) instead of sitting in a corner taking up space in my basement that i don't have.

She said the fixtures that i take down i have to replace (the F20s in the basement with keyless lampholders and 100W incandescents; the F90T17 needs no replacement along with the tool shed lights; the two garage strip lights need to be replaced with T8 fluorescents; and i'll need to think of a repalcement for the industrial style wall mount 8ft two lamp F40T12 reflector light (if a replacement is needed, as she never uses it saying "the lamps will blink on when they feel like it, not when i flick the switch") if i need a replacement i'll use a pair of single lamp T8 strips.)

She also said the fixtures i can't take with me can either stay up or get stashed in the tool shed and i could get them "whenever". even if i don't take the fixtures, I'm prepared to swap out some vintage lights for some modern ones.
