I started seeing Photon lights in stores in 2000 or 2001. I think the ones with white or blue LED were $25 back then!!!

@Dimbulb: The White (InGaN) LEDs of this Photon light is on sapphire substratum, which is expensive.
I don't know if LRI moved to silicon subsratum with its Photon lights having InGaN LEDs, which are much less expensive.
But my Photon light was indeed expensive at the time of the buying. My green Inova (Silicon substratum) was much cheaper.

Wow cool! Yeah my dad has one from around 2000 when they came out and it still works well after being on his keychain for years
