I recently bought some of the Philips Natural Lights from 99 cents only, i have the same observation regarding the country of orgin. Two of the mexican 60w bulbs blew out instantly however.

Those Walgreens China bulbs didn't last long, 2 had air leaks, one the glass separated at the base, never got used.
