ARK Lighting A604P 400 Watt Metal Halide Cobrahead
Here is a picture showing some wiring modifications I made to the ARK A604P. When I got it, the ballast was not wired to the terminal block. The only wiring done already was the lamp socket leads to the ballast. So I bought the orange Ideal Power Plug's from Lowes for easy power door removal, and some slip on connectors for the terminal block.

Weird that they would include a terminal block but not include it in the wiring lol. Also, good idea reversing the two plugs so that they can't be plugged in the wrong way. That's how I did it with my M-400A2. You can't mix up the wiring, though you can connect the socket directly to mains, which can be good for testing incandescent lamps or remote ballasting but it's an obvious mistake so nothing to worry about.

Yeah it was definitely kinda strange that the fixture wasn't wired when I got it. Maybe because it's multi tap, they let the installer do the wiring for the voltage tap needed.

They still could have used the terminal block. Just have the neutral wire connected like normal and connect a loose wire to the hot of the terminal block with a tag saying "CONNECT TO BALLAST TAP THAT CORRESPONDS WITH LOCAL LINE VOLTAGE".
