Cool pic! They had glare shields back then? Matches the profile of the fixture well. I thought it was an Ovalite missing the glass until I read the title lol.

Still plenty of double guys in California, slowly being replaced due to reconstruction and roadkills. The ones above however are very early models. That interchange is being rebuilt, but one of these original poles still stand today, with a HPS GE M400A FCO.
