My new OVX!
Here is an outside picture of my OVX, nice and clean! A couple nicks and scratches, but it's pretty nice! I already let this up and it sure is bright! In a regular installation due to this being 400w in a cram small fixture might not last long but since it is in collection it wouldn't be a big deal.

This was made on the last week of August 2014. Very new.

Does this OVX have a PC socket?

This one does yes. I have a PC inserted in this but you can't see it in this picture.

Oh, alright. Thanks for telling me. Cool

Yeah with the OVX it's hard to tell since the top is flat. I wish mine had a PC socket. I HAVE a spare Westinghouse PC socket but I need the screws and retaining ring.

I dunno if I have any extra screws. I think I might. I dunno. I'd have to dig them up. Are you able to buy one or something? Shouldn't they have some for sale and stuff like that? I remember when Tony sent me one (I don't see him on here much anymore or at all...) for my OVS though I never used it, I used one of my old OV-25 PC sockets from one of the OV-25's I used to have. I should still have Tony's somewhere.. If I find that I could give that to you.

That's gotta be bright! o.o

I don't even light my repaired 250W HPS ballast in my room anymore, it's just too bright! xD

I contacted Cooper and they referred me to a distributor over two hours away in Massachusetts and that place wanted to charge me $43.95 for the PC socket with the retaining ring and screws and plus I'd have to drive out there to buy it in person since they don't ship. Never heard of that! What electrical distributor won't ship?!

If you find Tony's I'd love it! I can trade you something if you'd like. I have a bunch of electrical and lighting stuff. Lots of medium base HPS lamps, some HPS ignitors (dunno if they're 55V or 100V, but I'm leaning toward 55V), plugs (all kinds; twist-lock, 240V 15A straight blade, 240V 20A straight blade, 120V 20A straight blade (no 15A 120V males but I do have 15A 120V females). I also have 25W night-light base incandescent lamps (tubular shaped), 25W clear medium base globe shaped lamps, and some PL lamps. All NOS, most HID lamps made by SUPREME (I think they were really made by Philips since they have Philips-style etches) and the non-HID lamps are all Philips. I'll be very generous with the trade since I want to get rid of the stuff. I was hoping to make a little profit off the stuff but it won't sell on eBay or L-G. Sad It's all unused stuff and everything I've tested works great!

And yeah, 400W HPS is WAY too bright for me indoors lol. Once I get a PC socket for it I might mount mine outside just to see how bright the yard is lol.
