Dayburning light almost underwater.
This light has been underwater before in 2011 when the water of the Bull Shoals dam was all the way to the top, but right now it's almost underwater just barely sticking up.

Usually this is a dayburner, and it's owned by people that don't know how to take care of stuff and are lazy, the dock in the background is falling apart. Right now I think the breaker is tripped for the water being so high.

There has been a lot of rain and this is a flood control lake so the water is very high, usually this is high up and there is no water on the pole at all. The base of the pole usually isn't under water. But the water is so high right now. You can see the line where the water has gone down a little bit. It dropped 6 inches within the past few days.

Weird place to put it, I don't see why they dont just use a buoy with lights on them. Maybe the fish requested a light there Laughing

If you read the description he said that the pole is not usually covered by water. I guess they earn points for the good weathertight seal on the conduit, though I think they should probably take this down lol. I would think that this is a hazard lol.

I don't like the idea to take a swim there... Shocked
True watertight fixture (floodlight) with a clear merc inside placed at the bottom and directed upwards would make that place beautiful at night!

This is a High Pressure Sodium NEMA head.

Even better. That 4000V pulse will kill anything near it lol. better hope that breaker never fails in the on position. Shocked I'm sure the chances are like one in a million but it probably could happen, especially on older breakers.

This light is a dayburner so since it isn't ON the breaker is probably tripped. The meth-addicts who own this light are too lazy to fix it.

Wow, that light is on still, how come the water didn't stop the light from working? Cause electricity and water do not mix.
