125v too! That seems uncommon!
What's the filament like, vertical? I like the elusive inside-frost lamps with vertical filaments instead of the regular C shaped ones. I like IF lamps in general but am always wary of them being 12v, being off-grid! (BANG! in a 120v socket)

I don't know. I never think to inspect the filament. I just tap the lamp to see if it's broken or not lol.

Me too. I usually light them right off unless they're in NOS non-sleeve packaging or don't have a ballast for whatever it is.

I usually test the lamps to see if they work but I haven't tested these. I assume they still work. My great-aunt has some really cool T19 Philips Westinghouse Lamps soft white incandescents in the basement still unused. She's got really cool DuroTest inside-frost incandescents with the BT tops on them in use throughout the house too. I want to go through and replace them all lol.

You sure should!

Not sure how I'd go about doing that though since she hates CFLs, so it's not like there's anything in it for her.
