Yeah I still sorta like these since the window is squared but I like the light blue and gray ones with the tinted window best. I think this was the doing of SouthConn after they bought Ripley from their other parent company around 2000. Then SouthConn redesigned the top housing totally, but kept the squared window, but I still don't really like the newer Ripleys.

I don't mind the new Ripley's. It's their price tags I don't like. I don't think they are really any better than DTL. And the fact that they are about double the cost of DTL's doesn't seem worth it. They do look pretty cool though even with the new covers.
