The Sixth and Seventh Remaining Davits
Six of the seven hold OV-400s, one has a M-400 split door. Here we have two OV-400s. I wish i could save them. :-( That's Narragensett Bay in the background. The old pool is on the right and the area that once was Rocky Point Park is on the left. The roads makes a turn to the left and right after that second light, the rest were all removed.

These were Narragansett Electric-owned lights back in the day. When the park closed, NECo was still around (for a couple more years) and then NGrid took over. The electricity to the park remained on until the mid-2000s yet the park was unoccupied and the lines unmaintained. One by one the buildings all caught fire from electrical fires until NGrid shut off the power about a decade after the parks closing. By that time, the utility poles were failing and crap. NGrid never took any of their line stuff. everything belongs to the state, who contracted out a construction company to level the park.
