One of these days I'll get an NOS HPS light with a nice beautiful metallic NEMA tag. Razz Very Happy It'll either be a M-250R1, M-250A, M-400 split door, M-400A, early M-250A2 (M-150A) a very early M-250R2, an OVS, OVM, another OVC, an L-150, and L-250, or a late Westinghouse light since those are pretty much the only fixtures that had metallic NEMA tags.

and... this doesn't have a bubble level pad? Shocked The OVC and OVS do... Neutral

that would be awesome, No this baby didn't come with a bubble level which is good now I don't have to remove it, Laughing

LOL yeah. I never realized the OVM didn't have a leveling pad on the door. The OVC and OVS did so I assumed the OVM did too... I think they're ugly anyway and I've never gotten the point to a door-mounted level because you have to close the door to check the level. Rolling Eyes Laughing When I install lights I install them without the door and if it's a power door I install it without the ballast door and without the refractor. I install those things after. I usually install the PC before I install it but install the lamp when I install the fixture. If i was in a bucket truck I may do it differently but when your light pole is only 8ft high the extra trips are fine (since all you do is step off a stool lol)

Lol, I know and after you close the door to check level and it's not then you have to open it back up and hope you get it level the next time, back and forth, back and forth. It is actually the most rediculess thing I'v seen. Oh and I noticed that there is traces of a nema label further down on the door almost like it was there originally but was moved closer to the refractor?

Yeah i don't think anyone uses the stupid things and the few people that do never bother to take the foolish things off. Rolling Eyes

Hmm interesting. Any way this could be a different label? The spot where your NEMA tag is now is the "correct" spot that Cooper always put the OVM tags. Perhaps the person at the assembly line put the NEMA tag in the wrong spot and his/her supervisor made them rip it off and put another in the "correct" spot lol. Cooper defiently didn't take the time to install their tags straight though lol. Yours looks perfect but I've seen Cooper OVMs and OVSs with the NEMA tags WAY off lol. With the OVC you have to install it perfect since there's no extra space between the bubble level hump and the hinges. Personally I don't like the NEMA tag close to the lens like that. i prefer it down in the hinge region or if not, the middle, not near the door. Looks weird to me... Maybe I'm just being biased towards GE lol.
