Yeah I like these. Funny thing is, the admiral's hat was basically the same thing as this, just oval and shallower since it had incandescent lamps. Looks like a highbay on a mast arm. I saw one of these in NH, i think 70W HPS. The light pattern is a very defined perfect circle.

Definitely lights the yard well, It's just the glare (from the GLARE SHIELD!! I don't care for.)

Hmm I guess if you really wanted to you could paint the inside of the reflector matte gray or something but don't do anything that you might regret later...
