Holophane Mongoose
Here is a setup with a Holophane Mongoose using a mast arm. This doesn't look too bad. I would still prefer a real cobrahead, but at least this is HPS not LED. These don't have a very even light distribution. It provides a rectangular pattern of bright light right under the fixture and then the light quickly fades away. These are really best used in the setup in the other Mongoose pic I posted. Set off the road. They do a better job lighting the road that way.

Yeah I've seen these on truss arms on the road in front of Gillete Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

Yeah I don't really care for these fixtures too much. But they're HPS so I tolerate them lol. As long as they're not LED.

eh I'd rather see MH lol. The Providence Viaduct (a big interchange on I-95 in front of the Providence Place Mall that is lit by HPS drop lens highmasts) is getting these for new lights, though they're post top versions.
