See this scene is what a CFL can do!
This burned out house is located in San Bernardino, CA near the Colton city limit. It was boarded up and partially burned for a while, Rick Shield and I liked to joke that a CFL started the fire. At last check a week ago or so, the house looked like this, no roof, wall partially collasped, and a charred skeleton of the interior. I suppose it was a campfire that got out of control and burned up the house for good. But still this scene is what a crappy, malfunctioning CFL can cause :D True it is rare, but more likely to happen than using incandescents in fixtures without exceeding the wattage limits.

Wow! I've never had the CFL fire thing happen to me but they're all in pretty fireproof fixtures for the most part anyway...
