well if its already dead it wont crack, only when its having an EOL show thats when it could crack Shocked
those single lamp slimlines do a good job at frying a dead lamp

Recently in an ACE Hardware store in Atascadero, CA (lit with tandem 2XF32T8 turret lumes) I saw a GE Ecolux SP41 T8 that had completely cracked at the "Dead" end and was sagging too like it was about to fall out of the fixture!

oh ive seen that! i read a study done by someone and 1% of T8 lamps crack at EOL...i suppose of that percent a few will completly break off Shocked i have a pic of one totally broke off ill uplpoad when the site is fixed

That doesn't sound surprising...I suppose any lamp losing vacuum could crack and fall out of it's fixture...
