A GC1-20C to be exact. These fixtures usually come factory wired at 700ma. This fixture "Most likely" is 49 watts. We have tons of these up in Holyoke.

only 20 LEDs?

Yes that is correct, the lights on my street have 40 LED's, hence the name GC1-40C.

ahh i see. i bet this is about as bright as a 50W HPS and therefore does not save any energy lol. just wastes money. Laughing

No they are brighter than 50 watt. They were very close to 100 watt HPS when they had them mixed in during changouts.

hmm interesting. i guess the LEDs are proving what they claim to do. after seeing some more design changes and the price come down some, i wouldn't mind seeing them light the streets. I'd rather see a color temp like 3500K instead of a bluer light though. i'll really hate seeing all the cobraheads disappear too.

i suppose the cobrahead years are coming to an end and the LED cobraheads are the last grip for cobraheads just like powerpacks were the last grip for clamshells and HID teardrops were the last grip for the teardrop/gumball era. maybe someday after gull methance vapor light we will just have fiberoptic cable street lights that connect to a main light source in a central location lol.

The thing I'm still waiting to see is if they claim the longevity of these are true. We have had a few failures that I've seen, less than 10 fixtures out of what has been changed.
